Lois Steiner, Executive Consultant for Strategic Projects
Ms. Steiner brings over 35 years experience in capital program and general management with proven expertise in strategic initiatives, program management, project leadership, process improvement and business leadership skills to her role as Principal/CEO of Facilities First. With a BS in Biology, Lois holds Masters Degrees in Systems Management (Business and Organizational Development) and Fine Arts and is an inactive Licensed General Contractor.
During her career at Facilities First, the City of Mountain View, Stanford University, and various entrepreneurial ventures, Lois has provided leadership of a multimillion dollar company, developed initiatives for multiple prime contracting initiatives, Asset Management Plans for public and private companies and for $750 M worth of publicly-owned real estate. She has written grant proposals and funding plans resulting in millions of dollars in funding for major projects. She has advised and consulted with companies from start-ups to multi-billion dollar companies on real estate and facilities issues.
Lois has planned, managed and supervised the project management for 100s of complex private sector projects, including highly technical and fast-paced laboratory construction, from early planning stages through post-construction warranty periods. She managed a $56 Million Advanced Materials Research facility project, which required navigating extensive environmental issues, a client base with diverse (and conflicting) desires, and the oversight of the activities of 19 different consulting/contracting firms.
